Game School

Game School is a set of workshops in the design and development of games and exercises for learning.

MANTIS has designed games and exercises for learning and competitions since 2003. It has created over 20 software-based management simulation games from original research and design. It had also created other games and exercises in areas such as team work, creativity, and conflict management.

The nature of Game School will differ in terms of objectives, duration, day of week, frequency, and location. Game School will be conducted at your premises or place of convenience. It is not a distance learning programme. Fee and charges will be commensurate with the content, size and quality of the Wordshop.

APPLICATIONS

MANTIS invites applications from individuals for Game School in the design and development of games and exercises. Applicants should have had played a variety of games or have had some experience in the development of information systems or information technology products. They should be at least 15 years of age. There is no stipulation on educational qualification. Applications are acceptable from firms, schools, colleges, associations, societies and other organisations, and from groups of individuals for the conduct of Wordshops.

Participants should have a passion for playing games, skits and theatre, and interests in such esoteric arts like magic and making toys. Organising and communicating skills will be as valued as abilities in writing grammatically correct English. We appreciate humour and inquisitve minds.

A Game School will be more than a lecture class of theory. It will offer many opportunities for practical work. Those who do not wish to carry out the assignments in the Game School should not apply.
